The Canaan Zipline Canopy Tour gives guests the chance to soar high above the forest floor and across the Catawba River as they navigate a thrilling network of cables and skybridges. Our Full Tour features nine ziplines, the Half Tour includes five of those, and the Night Zipline Tour lets our guests do it all at night!!

What We Seek
Essential Responsibilities
- Safely facilitates high-adventure activities at Canaan Zipline Canopy Tour.
- Ensures operations are in accordance with ACCT and Canaan Zipline Canopy Tour safety standards.
- Conducts daily inspections of equipment and activity areas.
- Properly fits all guests with safety equipment (i.e., PFD, harness, helmet, etc.).
- Delivers exemplary customer service to all guests.
- Conducts pre-trip orientations.
- Provides information about the course, ecology, and history.
- Performs rescues as needed in the activity area.
- Assists with course enhancement and maintenance as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum age: 18
- At least one year of college or technical school preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in guiding adventure tours preferred
- Must pass initial guide training
- Must pass a monthly skills assessment
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Responsible, reliable, and courteous; solid judgment skills
- Ability to effectively speak in front of large groups
- Ability to communicate and work as an effective team member
- Ability to work long hours and irregular shifts in a multi-task environment
- Ability to learn new skills and apply feedback as given
- Must speak fluent English
- Family- and kid-friendly; experience working with kids preferred
Required Physical Abilities
- Ability to perform work at height
- Ability to perform technical rescues associated with canopy tours, high ropes courses, and water-based rescues as required
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time in all weather conditions
- Full range of overhead arm motion; strength to pull two people along the cable
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Competent swimmer
